OIDCI PRESIDENT HERMAN ONGKIKO IN 2017 APAP ROUNDTABLE

The 2017 Asia Pacific Agricultural Policy (APAP) Roundtable was held in early April in Japan. A member of the APAP Board of Directors, OIDCI President Herman Ongkiko was among the key discussants in the regional gathering.

With the theme “Sustainable Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Agricultural Trade Policies Towards Regional Food Security”, the roundtable facilitated the sharing of lessons and best practices from regional and national initiatives on related sustainable PPPs and agricultural trade policies. Among the recent OIDCI projects that relate to the APAP Roundtable theme are JICA-funded Mindanao Sustainable Agrarian and Agriculture Development (MinSAAD) projects and DAR-funded Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS) project, which both support agriculture and agri-business development.
