As recipient of Korean support to the Reconstruction Assistance for Yolanda (RAY), the Iloilo provincial government received KOICA grant assistance for the rehabilitation and improvement of fish port facilities and infrastructure in Northern Iloilo. This assignment is focused on grant assistance for the fish port rehabilitation and upgrade in Concepcion. The damage caused by the onslaught of super typhoon Yolanda to the Concepcion port was estimated at Php.6 million.

OIDCI consultants developed the Project Formulation Report through quick surveys and assessments, key informant interviews, roundtable discussion with officials of the Concepcion municipal government, and secondary gathering, among others. A bathymetric study was also conducted.

The final report discussed and evaluated development options for the fish port with corresponding operation and maintenance and investment requirements. Included in the report are demand and supply outlook for fishery products for the municipality and assessment of hazards and risks. The final report provides the basis for the subsequent detailed feasibility study for the proposed fish port project.
