OIDCI
adheres to the principle of sustainable development calling for a balance between environmental protection and resource utilization. The strategies and methodologies we use to operationalize this principle include the assessment and management of environmental impacts from a multi-sectoral perspective, the promotion of community participation and equity, indigenous capability building, and appropriate resource valuation which incorporates economic and environmental costs and benefits.
