OIDCI reminisces its first 25 years in
development consulting
Pays tribute to the people behind its
success
The OIDCI culminated
its yearlong jubilee activities in a
well-attended event on August 1 that
reminisced its 25 years of work and
achievements in development consulting
through its corporate values of service,
excellence, integrity, unity and fun at
work.
Highlighting the event was the recognition
of OIDCI’s stockholders through the
“Stockholders’ Night” that paid tribute to
the very foundation of the company’s
existence. Special citations and awards were
given. The Outstanding Achievement Award
for stockholders who have distinguished
themselves in the country and abroad was
given to Rogelio Concepcion, Renato de Rueda,
Delfin Ganapin, Felino Lansigan, Ben
Malayang III, William Medrano and
Percy Sajise.
The Loyalty Award for those who have
been stockholders of the company since its
establishment in 1983 was given to Leonardo
Dayao Jr., Jose Delvo (posthumous), Benjamin
Gaon, Ramon Nasol, Salvador Pejo
(posthumous), Melchor Prado, Tomas Prado and
Carmelo Villacorta. The Top 10
Stockholders Award for those who have
2,000 and above shares of stocks was given
to Edgardo Agravante, Victorina Armilla,
Rolando Corcolon, Herman Ongkiko, Edilberto
Reyes, Ricardo Sandalo, Ma. Laarni Surla,
Cynthia Villanueva and Percival Ramos
(posthumous). Ms. Rebecca Paz was awarded
“Most Deployed Stockholder” for her longest
record of consultant deployment among the
stockholders. Mr. Benjamin Geronimo took
home the celebration’s Grand Silver Award
for obtaining all three awards, namely,
the Outstanding Achievement Award,
Loyalty Award, and Top 10
Stockholders Award.
In August 1 last year when OIDCI began its
yearlong celebration, the company also paid
tribute to the consultants, staff, partner
firms, and partner agencies that have in one
way or another contributed to its success
through the “Recognition of OIDCI’s Pillars
of Success.”
To the founding members of the OIDCI, the
company, which is now a leading consulting
firm in development planning and management
in the country, is “a dream realized.”
Through the men and women who have
persisted, through their esprit de corps
and determination in “Sharing knowledge
for human development,” OIDCI has in fact
evolved to become a brand name in the
business.
OIDCI prides itself with a number of won
projects that run along the mainstream of
government priority programs and policies
and have made the company a potent agent of
development.
On the same event, OIDCI also made
announcements on changes in its leadership
and organization, and on its future
directions to make the company more
responsive and competitive in its skills,
strategies and technology given rapidly
changing and ever challenging conditions in
the industry, while also
effectively balancing its business and
social responsibilities.
Taking the helm from outgoing OIDCI Board
Chair, Dr. Ramon Nasol, is Dr. Percy
E. Sajise, a prolific development advocate
and expert in the country and in the region. Mr. Leonardo V.
Dayao, Jr., on the other hand, takes over
Engr. Carmelo R. Villacorta as president of
the company. Mr. Dayao was vice
president and chief operating officer of the
company before this new assignment.
Current and future
efforts of the OIDCI are expected to bring
the company closer to its vision to be a
leading world-class consulting company that
provides a total service approach to the
improvement of regional, national and local
communities. |
